Publishing Articles for Website Traffic

By the nature of their occupation, most attorneys are fairly good writers. Fortunately, this skill can be put to good use in your law firm’s Internet marketing program.

There are actually several ways you can “write your way” to better search engine rankings and traffic levels, but article marketing is by far my favorite. Here’s how the process works:

If you write a high-quality article on some aspect of law, and you publish that article online through a website like EzineArticles.com, the piece could be republished all over the web. This supports your Internet marketing program in several ways.

Most obvious is the fact that it increases your online exposure. But article marketing also increases the number of websites that link yours (link popularity), thereby improving the search engine ranking of your law firm’s website.

This is what I mean by being active online. Attorneys and law firms should constantly seek new ways to spread their message over the Internet. You can do it by publishing press releases online, by starting a law blog, or by publishing articles. The more active you are online, the easier it is for people to find your law firm … and, ideally, choose your services.
